Edmonton, AB - Jayden Bontkes scored 18 a game-high 18 kills and 22 points as The King's University Eagles downed the NAIT Ooks in 3 sets (19-25, 20-25, 21-25) Friday evening at the NAIT Gymnasium.
Jamie Bain added 27 assists while Lauren Smith was the top player on defence with 14 digs in a losing cause for the Ooks. Taylor Card and Hannah Gorgichuk led the way for the Ooks in offence with 9 kills each.
With this loss the Ooks record falls to 14-7 and remain third in the Northd Division of the ACAC, while the Eagles improve to 17-4 and remain second in the North Division of the ACAC. Rematch will take place tomorrow Saturday February 10th at 6:00pm at King's Gymnasium.
