Edmonton, AB - Hannah Gorgichuk recorded a game-high 15 kills and scored 18 points as the NAIT Ooks women's volleyball team earned a 3-2 victory (25-20, 12-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9) over the Concordia Thunder Friday night at the NAIT Gymnasium.
Jamie Bain added 42 assists while Lauren Smith was the top player on defence with 15 digs in a winning cause for the Ooks. Julia Heupel led the way for the Thunder with 17 kills, 1 dig and 2 blocks.
With this win the Ooks record improves to 10-5, while the Thunder fall to 2-13. Rematch will take place tomorrow Saturday January 13th at 6:00pm at Concordia.
