Edmonton, AB - Ahnika Kuse recorded a game-high 18 kills and scored 19 points as the Lakelan Rustlers women's volleyball team downed the Ooks in 3-1 sets (25-27, 25-18, 25-17, 29-27) Friday evening at the NAIT Gymnasium.
Donnelly and Gorgichuk added 14 kills each for the Ooks, while Jamie Bain added 41 assists. Karly Kupkawas the top player on defence with 15 digs in a losing cause for the Ooks. Olivia Thomson led the Rustlers on defence with 17 digs, while Rae Sigurdson earned player of the game with her 41 assists in the game.
With this loss the Ooks record fall to 4-1, while the Rustlers goes to 5-0. NAIT's next game will be tomorrow Saturday when they go visit the Lakeland Rustlers at 6:00pm.
