Ooks Open Season With A Win Over Thunder
EDMONTON, AB. – Alexis Anderson recorded five blocks and scored a game-high nine points as the NAIT Ooks women's volleyball team earned a 3rd set victory ( 25-21,25-21,25-21) over the Concordia Thunder Friday night at Concordia.
Kayleigh Fisk added seven kills while Lauren Smith was the top player on defense with 12 digs in a winning cause for the Ooks. Shandelle Meyer led the Thunder with six kills and 11 digs.
With the win, the Ooks open the season 1-0 while the Thunder falls to 0-1. The two teams will face each other again on Saturday afternoon in the NAIT Gymnasium at 1:00 pm.
