Edmonton, AB - 1st-year guard Machot Magok scored a team-high 20 points including six three-pointers as the NAIT Ooks topped the King's Eagles 85-42 in ACAC men's basketball action Friday night at the NAIT Gymnasium.
Mitch Burnett led the way for the Eagles with 13 points and 6 rebounds.
The Ooks came out strong in the first quarter outscoring the Eagles 33-4, with Magok scoring 4 (3 in a row) of his six threes in that quarter. That lead set the tone for the Ooks, and the Eagles were unable to come back from the large deficit.
With this win, the Ooks record improves 5-4, while the Eagles go to 0-7. The rematch will take place at The King's University tomorrow Saturday at 8:00 pm.
