Ooks Defeat Thunder
EDMONTON, AB. – 4th year Guard Wyatt Beaver scored a team-high 19 points as the NAIT Ooks topped the Concordia Thunder 76-71 in ACAC men's basketball action Saturday night at Concordia.
The Thunder's TrayVon Lackey led all scorers with 24 points in a losing cause.
Adding to the Ooks offense was 2nd year forward Kennedy George who added 18 points while Jamal Hinds added 9 points off of the bench.
The Ooks and the Thunder split the weekend series both ending with a 1-1 record to begin the season. NAIT's next game is October 20th when they take on the Keyano Huskies 8 pm, while Concordia will host the Augustan Vikings.
